The festival of young directors
Sunday, 04/13/2025 17:30 St. Pauli Theater

The collaboration between the St. Pauli Theater and the Theaterakademie Hamburg has established itself as one of the most important platforms for up-and-coming directors in Germany. This spring, the festival initiated by Ulrich Waller once again offers talented young directors the opportunity to realize their creative visions on a classical stage.
Over the course of two days, they present productions that play with genres, reinterpret literary material in surprising new ways and explore traditional stylistic devices. They are always on the lookout for innovative forms of intelligent entertainment - fresh, unconventional and full of creative energy.
