The focus is on the interaction between musical listening and its authentic connection to movement. We will work on this with specially developed movement and listening exercises based on contemporary music literature.
Accordingly, the aim of this block seminar is to give irritating and new sound events a personal meaning that is anchored in one's own body knowledge and is not based exclusively on intellectual cognition. This serves as the basis for spontaneously created miniature compositions and performances.
Part of the event will take place in the Galerie der Gegenwart in the Hamburger Kunsthalle.
The seminar will kick off with a public university event on October 25, 2025 at the Mendelssohn with the theme "The Art of Listening".
