Part-time course
As a cooperation between the Bundesakademie Trossingen, the Association of German Music Schools (VdM) and the Elementary Music Pedagogy (EMP) course at the HfMT, the following part-time course (BBL) is offered at the Bundesakademie Trossingen:
"Elementary music is never music alone, it is connected with movement, dance and language, it is music that you have to do yourself, in which you are not involved as a listener but as a player." (Carl Orff)
Elementary music practice enables children from an early age to have a holistic, creative approach to music in all its forms; an approach that is still free from any restrictions on a particular instrument or voice. It is about inspiring, arousing curiosity, recognizing existing abilities, developing and encouraging them from an early age. For this very reason and due to ongoing changes in the educational landscape, parents are increasingly using the pre-school years to offer their children a wide range of activities.
With the new concept and structure of the successful BBL "From the Beginning of Music", which has been adapted to current requirements, the Federal Academy invites participants to qualify for elementary, practical music work - alongside their profession and closely oriented to their own teaching activities. During the academy phases, participants gain an insight into the current requirements and working methods of EMP. In addition to developing methodological and pedagogical expertise, the focus is also on their own artistic and musical development. Special emphasis is placed on individual, practical work with children in different age groups on site as well as their didactic-methodical preparation and reflection.
The course takes place in cooperation with the Hamburg University of Music and Drama; the course concept is based on the "Music Education Plan for the Elementary/Primary Level" of the Association of German Music Schools.
