Alexander Schubert, geboren 1979 in Bremen, studierte in Leipzig Informatik und Kognitionswissenschaften. Parallel dazu war er als Musiker und Komponist in verschiedenen Kontexten tätig. Nachdem er ein Jahr am ZKM in Karlsruhe am Institut für Musik und Akustik gearbeitet hatte, studierte er bei Georg Hajdu und Manfred Stahnke bis 2010 Multimediale Komposition an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg und schließt sein Studium 2018 mit einem künstlerischem Doktor ab. Er ist Professor an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg und ist als freischaffender Komponist tätig.
