Entrance examination for school music/advanced qualification for teaching at secondary level I and II (AQ LA Sek)

The application period for the 2027/28 winter semester begins on February 15, 2027, and ends on April 1, 2027.

To successfully apply for the School Music track within the teacher education programs, the following steps must be completed within the application period:

• Submission of the online application, including the upload of supporting documents
• Receipt of the application fee

Your application will only be considered if all the steps described above are completed in full within the application period and both the online application and the application fee have been received.

It is helpful for us if you apply early and submit your online application well before the application deadline. Any additional documents can still be easily submitted via email within the application period to: ines.thiel@hfmt.hamburg.de

The Advanced Qualification for Teaching at Secondary Levels I and II (AQ LASek) degree program leading to a Master of Education (M.Ed.)in School Music is aimed at graduates of a music degree who wish to enter the teaching profession. The names "Q-Master" or "AQ-Master" are also often used for the course.

The course is studied at the HfMT HH and at the UHH.
